The Lettuce Nudibranch, also known as the Lettuce Sea Slug, is a well-equipped algae eater that gets energy from the photosynthetic algae it consumes. They are great at consuming different species of algae, especially hair algae or bryopsis. Its body is green, closely resembling a leaf of lettuce. They are best housed in tanks with plenty of live rock and away from aggressive species. Pumps and drains can harm the Lettuce Sea Slug, so care should be taken to prevent this from happening. They cannot handle copper or high nitrate levels in an aquarium.
