Aquacultured fish are fish that are born and raised in captivity. These fish have proven to be a much healthier and hardier selection, compared to their wild counterparts. The mortality rates of aquacultured (tank-raised) fish are much lower than wild fish due to these fish being adapted to prepared foods, not exposed to wild fish diseases, and not suffering from stresses of being shipped overseas. In addition, purchasing aquacultured fish reduces the amount of fish being harvested from the ocean, increasing sustainability!!!!
