Reef Safe fish are exactly that! These fish can be considered perfectly reef safe where they won't chew on, mangle, rip apart, dissolve or down right obliterate corals. As an added benefit they will also not consume fish smaller than themselves nor eat those commonly found invertebrates that reside in most reef tanks. As an added benefit most of these reef safe fish can also be considered peaceful toward other fishy neighbors. That said, there are exceptions in aggressiveness as quite a few tangs will not consume corals, but they will beat the living daylights out of their neighbor if not added at the right time or "fish" size when establishing your fish population.
