The Margarita Snail is a very sought after snail for a reef aquarium. This species of snail is known to eat large amounts of algae including nuisance algae as well. This small herbivore likes to find ample places to hide and to roam looking for algae to consume. They should be kept in cooler aquariums with temperatures not reaching anything above 78 degrees Fahrenheit. They cannot handle copper or high nitrate levels in an aquarium, and require correct calcium levels in order to ensure proper shell growth.
