2.5" x 1.5" WYSIWYG and fully aquacultured by WWC! Similar to our Super Red Polyp Clathrata the WWC Helios Acropora is even hotter (if that's possible)! With their glowing blue growing tip and purple branches, red polyps and blazing yellow tipped corallites, you seriously can't go wrong with this Acropora. Keep in mind that the lower the par the better the coloration and the higher the flow the more upturned the branches will be. We originally imported this piece from a Indonesian Maricultured Acropora over 5 years ago. Now, to really speed up the growth rate of Acropora, target feed them by squirting a small amount of excellent quality SPS frozen food once or twice per week via a large syringe. Best results will be found when you place your recirculation pumps on feeding mode so that the polyps can "catch" the small particles of food floating by. The WWC Helios Acropora is a pretty good grower and can double its size in a year or more given a mature reef with stable parameters and around 200 to 250 par.
