AquaFX Blue Fin PRO — Light-Commercial 500GPD 7-Stage RO/DI System
500 Gallons of 0 TDS Water a Day. No Booster Pump Required. Hand-Built in the USA.
The sweet spot between a residential RO/DI unit and a full commercial system — built for coral farmers, aquarium stores that don't sell water, and hobbyists running large systems who are tired of waiting on a trickle.
Why the Blue Fin PRO
Most "commercial" RO/DI systems either force you into a booster pump just to hit usable output, or they're overbuilt (and overpriced) for anyone who isn't running a full retail water station. The Blue Fin PRO splits the difference: 500GPD at standard household pressure (65 PSI) — no booster pump needed — at a price that sits well below true commercial-grade systems, while producing more than double the output of a standard 10x2 RO/DI unit.
If your water pressure runs under 45 PSI, or you want to push your waste-to-product ratio even further, the optional high-flow booster pump upgrade is available — but for the vast majority of setups, this system runs fast right out of the box.
Who it's for:
- Small-to-medium coral farms that need serious volume without a full commercial footprint
- Aquarium stores that don't retail water to customers
- Hobbyists running large or multiple display tanks who've outgrown a residential unit

Key Advantages
|
Blue Fin PRO |
| Output |
500 GPD @ 65 PSI, 77°F, 250 ppm TDS |
| Booster pump required? |
No — optional upgrade only, recommended under 45 PSI |
| Filter size |
Larger 10"x4" pre-filters & DI cartridges (vs. standard 10"x2") |
| Filter life |
Longer contact time = fewer cartridge changes |
| Final water quality |
0 TDS, zero phosphate, laboratory-grade |
| Build |
Hand-built in the USA, heavy-duty steel mounting bracket |
| Stages |
7 — sediment, dual carbon block, RO membrane, triple DI |
The larger 10"x4" pre-filters and DI cartridges aren't just about capacity — they mean longer water contact time per stage, which translates directly to cleaner output and cartridges that last longer before needing a change. That's less maintenance and lower cost-per-gallon over the life of the system compared to standard 10"x2" setups.
How It Works — 7 Stages of Filtration
| Stage |
Function |
| 1 |
AquaFX Premium 1-Micron Sediment Filter — 10"x4" |
| 2 |
AquaFX Chloramine Blaster Carbon Filter — 10"x4", refillable |
| 3 |
AquaFX Chloramine Blaster Carbon Filter — 10"x4", refillable |
| 4 |
AquaFX TFC 500GPD Light-Commercial RO Membrane (Made in USA) |
| 5 |
AquaFX Cation Color-Indicating DI Filter — USA resin, refillable, 10"x4" |
| 6 |
AquaFX Anion Color-Indicating DI Filter — USA resin, refillable, 10"x4" |
| 7 |
AquaFX Mixed-Bed Color-Indicating DI Filter — USA resin, refillable, 10"x4" |
Color-indicating DI resin means you'll see when a cartridge needs changing — no guesswork, no TDS creep catching you off guard.

FAQ
Do I need a booster pump? Not at standard household pressure (65 PSI). If your incoming pressure is below 45 PSI, or you want to maximize your waste-to-product water ratio, add the booster pump upgrade at checkout.
How is this different from a standard 10x2 RO/DI system? The Blue Fin PRO's 10"x4" cartridges more than double the media volume of a standard 10x2 system, giving you both higher output and longer filter life between changes.
Will this work for my retail fish store? If you sell water to customers, we'd recommend stepping up to the Blue Marlin or Blue Marlin PRO for the added throughput. The Blue Fin PRO is built for coral farms, non-water-retail stores, and large home systems.
