Chaetodon ulietensis
Double Saddle Butterflyfish are attractive saltwater fish known for their distinctive dark saddle-shaped markings, yellow accents, and flattened bodies. They require a spacious marine aquarium of at least 125 gallons, with a temperature of 72–78°F, a pH of 8.1–8.4, and a salinity of 1.020–1.026. Provide plenty of open swimming space, rock, and excellent water quality with strong filtration. They are omnivores and should be fed a varied diet of marine algae, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other suitable meaty foods several times daily. Double Saddle Butterflyfish can be sensitive to poor water conditions and may be difficult to acclimate to aquarium foods, so they are best suited for experienced saltwater aquarists. They are generally not considered reef-safe because they may nip at corals, anemones, and other invertebrates, making a FOWLR aquarium the safer choice. the Double Saddle Butterfly is naturally found in Indo-Pacific from the Cocos-Keeling Islands to the Tuamoto Islands, north to Japan up to 40 meters deep.
