Margarita Snail

Description

A favorite among reef aquarium enthusiasts, the Margarita Snail is renowned for its exceptional algae-eating abilities. It's particularly effective against various algae types, including the troublesome hair algae. The Margarita Snail is non-aggressive and a safe addition to any tank, coexisting peacefully with corals and other invertebrates.

Margarita Snails thrive in well-established aquariums with abundant algae to graze on. They prefer cooler water temperatures but can adapt to warmer conditions up to 78° Fahrenheit. It's crucial to maintain stable water parameters, as these snails are sensitive to fluctuations in pH, temperature, and alkalinity. When introducing Margarita Snails to a new tank, the drip acclimation method is recommended to minimize stress. If algae in the tank is limited, supplement their diet with dried seaweed attached to an algae clip or wrapped around a rock.
