Red Linckia Starfish

The Red Linckia Starfish is a beautifully colored starfish that can be a striking addition to a mature aquarium of at least 10 months to 1 year. Red Linckia are primarily detritivores where they feed on organic waste and micro bacteria which naturally occur in mature reef tanks. Due to it's feeding care requirements, it is recommended that only intermediate to advanced aquarists purchase this starfish. 

Drip acclimation is recommended and when transferring to your aquarium it should not be exposed to air. 

Red Linckia Starfish are sensitive to salinity changes and temperature swings, and will not tolerate ANY Copper in the aquarium. 

If the Red Linckia Starfish drops an arm, it has the ability to regenerate it over time.

They are typically available for purchase in size approx. 3-3.5".
