Description

CarbonDoser® V2.0 Electronic CO2 Regulator

CO2 control without the drift

Most CO2 regulators use a needle valve, and a needle valve depends on the pressure on both sides of it. When the cylinder pressure or the room’s air pressure changes, the amount of CO2 passing through changes too, even if you haven’t touched the setting. That drift is what causes “dumping.”

The CarbonDoser® V2.0 has no needle valve. An electronic valve opens and closes in a fraction of a second, and each open-and-close makes one bubble. Because the bubble rate is set electronically, it stays consistent from the first day of the cylinder to the last.

Made for tidy, flexible setups

The V2.0 lets you place the CO2 cylinder out of sight in a cabinet, a back room, or a far corner of the fish room. Mount the CarbonDoser® box wherever it suits you, such as on a board next to your pH controller and other electronics.

The 1/8" polyurethane tubing from the regulator to the box is soft and bendy, almost like running a wire, so routing is simple.

Key features

  • Electronic valve instead of a needle valve, for a consistent bubble rate
  • Designed to prevent CO2 dumping
  • Remote mounting: keep the cylinder away from the tank and mount the box on a board with your controllers
  • John Guest push-in fittings for quick, leak-resistant connections
  • Exclusive CarbonDoser® check valve
  • Polyurethane tubing included: 1/8" from regulator to box, and 1/4" from box to check valve to reactor

Works with
Neptune, Hydros, GHL, and PinPoint controllers.

Great for

  • CO2 injection in freshwater planted aquariums
  • Calcium reactors on saltwater systems

Does it work with my controller? Yes, it works with Neptune, Hydros, GHL and PinPoint.

What is “dumping”? It’s a sudden rush of CO2 that happens when the pressure in the cylinder changes. It can cause pH swings and stress livestock. Needle-valve regulators are prone to it, and this regulator has no needle valve.

Can I use it on a saltwater tank? Yes, with a calcium reactor.

Can the CO2 cylinder be far from the tank? Yes. The 1/8" tubing lets you put the cylinder in a remote spot.
