The AvidAqua InSight is a 4-inch Wi-Fi touchscreen display and dashboard for Neptune Systems Apex aquarium controllers (2016 models and newer). It shows your reef tank's key parameters — temperature, pH, ORP, salinity and more — at a glance from across the room, with multi-stage visual and audible alerts when a reading heads toward the danger zone. One touch starts everyday tasks like feeding your fish or changing your lighting, no phone or app needed. Choose the InSight Pro variant if you also want room environment monitoring — temperature, humidity, CO2 and VOC — because high room CO2 drags down your tank's pH and slows coral growth. Both models connect to your Apex over Wi-Fi — no cable, no Apex Fusion account, no internet required — and you can run several on the same Apex.
Why reefers add one
- Bright 4" color IPS LCD touchscreen — readable from across the room
- Visual AND audible alerts when parameters drift — hear it before it becomes a loss
- One-touch feed mode, lighting control and other daily tasks, right on the screen
- Pure Wi-Fi: no physical connection to the Apex, works without internet or Apex Fusion
- Place it anywhere in the house; connect multiple InSights to one Apex
- Set up and personalize your screen layouts in the free MyAquarium app (iOS and Android)
- Three ways to mount: set it on a flat surface, attach it to an AvidAqua ModMag, or panel-mount it in your stand with the included fastener-free attachment
InSight or InSight Pro?
The InSight shows your Apex data and alerts. The InSight Pro ($199.95) adds room environment monitoring — temperature, humidity, CO2 and VOC — which matters more than most people realize: high room CO2 drags down your tank's pH and slows coral growth. If your tank sits in a closed-up fish room or a tight modern house, the Pro is the one to get.
