Description
Maximum Power. Deep Penetration. Built for Serious SPS.
Take your reef aquarium lighting to the next level with the Kessil A500X Tuna Blue LED, a 185W high-intensity lighting fixture engineered specifically for experienced SPS coral growers — delivering concentrated, penetrating illumination, exceptional coral coloration, and the unmistakable Kessil shimmer over an SPS coverage area up to 36" x 36".
Designed for serious reef enthusiasts, Acropora collectors, and professional aquarium installations, the A500X combines Kessil's patented Dense Matrix LED technology with a full-spectrum Tuna Blue system, adjustable beam reflectors, and X-Series control through K-Link, the Spectral Controller X, or the Kessil WiFi Dongle.
Whether you're lighting a deep SPS-dominant display or mounting high in a canopy over a large reef, the A500X delivers the intensity, penetration, and control that demanding corals require.
Why choose the Kessil A500X?
High-Intensity Dense Matrix LED Technology
The A500X is the most powerful spotlight Kessil makes. Its patented Dense Matrix array concentrates its output into a single penetrating source, delivering a concentrated beam with well-blended spectrum for optimum SPS growth, health, and coloration — the intensity high-light Acropora demands, without hot spots of unmixed color.
Adjustable Beam with Reflectors
Shape the light to your tank. Run the A500X at its wide 130° spread for shallow coverage, fit the included Reflector-55 to concentrate the beam, or add the optional Reflector-35 (sold separately) to punch light into deep aquariums. One fixture serves shallow frag systems and deep displays alike — no other Kessil gives you this control over the beam.
Full-Spectrum Reef Lighting
The A500X pairs Kessil's signature Tuna Blue spectrum with individually adjustable red, green, and purple channels (violet and indigo), giving you both the growth spectrum corals need and the cosmetic control to make their colors pop.
Natural Kessil Shimmer
Experience the beautiful shimmer effect Kessil is known for. Its concentrated light source recreates the natural appearance of sunlight moving across a coral reef, bringing depth and movement to your aquarium — even at canopy height.
Coverage Built for SPS
- SPS-dominant systems: up to 36" x 36" per fixture
- Deep tanks: pair with the Reflector-35 for maximum penetration
- Large systems: K-Link multiple A500X fixtures together and control them as one
Total X-Series Control
Control the A500X with the onboard knobs, the Spectral Controller X, or add the Kessil WiFi Dongle for full app control — schedules, sunrise and sunset ramps, acclimation mode, and lunar cycles. The A500X K-Links with other X-Series fixtures, and connects to Neptune Apex through the WiFi Dongle and the APEX IoTA interface for centralized control of your whole lighting system.
Kessil Logic
Kessil Logic maintains the core spectrum corals need for growth even while you adjust cosmetic color settings, so you can tune the look of your aquarium without compromising the fixture's underlying lighting performance.
