Premium Reef Lighting. Exceptional Coral Color. Simple, Powerful Control.
Take your nano or small reef aquarium to the next level with the Kessil A160WE Tuna Blue LED, a compact 40W lighting fixture engineered to deliver powerful illumination, vibrant coral coloration, and the unmistakable Kessil shimmer — in a light sized for tanks up to 24 inches.
Designed for nano reef keepers, coral collectors, and anyone lighting a small or mid-size aquarium, the A160WE combines Kessil's patented Dense Matrix LED technology with a fully tunable Tuna Blue spectrum and simple two-knob control. No app, no dongle, no complicated setup — mount it, turn two dials, and your corals get professional-grade light.
Whether you're growing a thriving mixed reef in a nano cube or lighting a frag tank, the A160WE delivers the performance and flexibility serious reef keepers expect from Kessil.
Why choose the Kessil A160WE Tuna Blue?
Advanced Dense Matrix LED Technology
Kessil's patented Dense Matrix design concentrates its LED chips into a single compact array, creating a powerful point source with excellent color blending, deep penetration, and even distribution — reaching 24" to 30" into most reef aquariums.
Tunable Tuna Blue Spectrum
Dial the color from 10,000K crisp white through deep ocean blue to full actinic, with a proprietary UV blend that helps bring out coral fluorescence and color. One knob sets spectrum, one sets intensity — adjust the look of your tank in seconds.
Natural Kessil Shimmer
Experience the beautiful shimmer effect Kessil is known for. Its concentrated single-point source recreates sunlight moving across a natural reef, bringing depth and movement that panel lights can't match.
Right-Sized Reef Coverage
- Soft coral and lightly stocked reefs: up to 24" x 24"
- Mixed reef with moderate coral density: 18" x 18"
- Lighting a longer tank? Run one A160WE per 24" of length — units daisy-chain and run together from a single controller
Simple Control Now, Expandable Later
Run it manually with the two onboard knobs, or add the Kessil Spectral Controller X for sunrise/sunset ramps, six-point Quick Set programs, and an acclimation mode that introduces new corals safely. The A160WE is also 0–10V compatible and Apex Ready — it works with Neptune Apex and other external controllers, so it grows with your system instead of being replaced by it.
Kessil Logic
Kessil Logic maintains consistent light output across the entire adjustable spectrum, so you can tune the color to your eye without starving your corals of the wavelengths they need to grow.
Compact, Silent, Cool-Running
At just 0.69 lbs with fanless heat management, the A160WE runs silently and mounts easily over open-top nano tanks with the Kessil A-Series Gooseneck.
