The Reef Octopus NS80 Nano Skimmer (SKU: OCT-NS80) brings high-efficiency organic extraction technology down to small-scale and nano reef aquariums up to 25 gallons. While small desktop marine displays and all-in-one (AIO) cubes are highly popular, their limited water volume makes them exceptionally vulnerable to rapid nutrient spikes from fish waste and overfeeding. The NS80 tackles this vulnerability by scaling down the exact same mechanical fractionation principles utilized in commercial reef sumps, continuously removing dissolved organic compounds before they can break down into harmful nitrates and phosphates.

Propelled by the robust OTP 200s pinwheel pump, this compact workhorse draws an efficient 5 Watts while aggressively slicing incoming air into an ultra-dense column of micro-bubbles. To combat the common problem of media compaction and erratic water levels in tight quarters, the NS80 incorporates an integrated raiser pipe tuning column. By simply twisting the pipe, you alter the internal backpressure to effortlessly shift between dry, concentrated waste collection or a wetter, rapid chemical flush. Built from durable cast acrylic and finished with a flexible, sliding mounting bracket, the NS80 can be deployed directly in the display, hidden within a rear filter compartment, or submersed in an ultra-miniature sump.
