In their natural habitat in the Western Pacific Ocean, Yasha Gobies are commonly found hiding in sandy caves under overhangs at depths of up to 40 meters. Their natural inclination is to form a symbiotic relationship with Pistol Shrimp. The Shrimp will create a burrow for them to share while the Goby provides protection and food. They will require an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as they are known for jumping.
