The Red Breasted Maori Wrasse is considered a prize in the aquarium hobby. They have a very detailed pattern that really makes it stand out. They do best with a varied diet of frozen meaty foods and marine pellets. This species of wrasse only requires a larger meal every couple of days. Provide an environment with plenty of hiding places and swimming space. They will grow to be about 16 inches and will need an aquarium with substantial space. The Red Breasted Maori Wrasse inhabits lagoons and seaward reefs in the Indo-Pacific up to 60 meters deep.
