The Banded Sleeper Goby is also known as Whitebarred Goby and are a hardy and attractive fish that adds both charm and utility to any aquarium. With its unique pattern of brown bands and a peaceful temperament, this reef-safe fish is a fantastic choice for community tanks, particularly those with sandy or mixed substrates. A secure aquarium lid is recommended, as Banded Sleeper Gobies may jump if startled. Their diet should include meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood, fed at least twice daily to sustain their energy. They can grow up to 6 inches and need a minimum tank size of 50 gallons. Native to the Indo-Pacific, Banded Sleeper Gobies inhabit shallow, sandy reef areas where they sift through the substrate, helping maintain a clean aquarium. Banded Sleeper Gobies are generally found at depths of up to 65 feet in the wild.
