The Diamond Watchman Goby, or Orange-Spotted Sleeper Goby, is a captivating and practical addition to any aquarium. Known for its attractive orange spots and hardworking nature, this peaceful, reef-safe fish is an ideal choice for community tanks, especially those with sandy substrates. An aquarium with a tight-fitting lid is recommended, as Diamond Watchman Gobies are prone to jumping if startled. They require a varied diet that includes meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small pieces of fish or clam, fed twice daily to maintain their health and energy. Live Adult Brine and black worms can be added to their diet if they are not eating sufficiently. Diamond Watchman Gobies can grow up to 8 inches and need a minimum tank size of 30 gallons. Native to the Indo-West Pacific Ocean, they inhabit sandy reef environments where they sift through the substrate for food, helping keep aquariums clean at depths of up to 40 feet.
