Description
Pseudochromis sankeyi x P. fridmani
The Indigo Dottyback, a vibrant hybrid of Pseudochromis sankeyi and Pseudochromis fridmani. A captivating marine fish that adds a splash of color and activity to most aquariums. Generally regarded as coral reef species, they inhabit areas rich in structure, often found among rocks and coral formations where they can establish territory and find shelter. Growing up to 3 inches in length, Indigo Dottybacks should ideally be housed in aquariums of at least 30 gallons to allow for territorial behaviors. They can exhibit aggression towards other dottybacks and similarly shaped fish, so care should be taken when selecting tankmates. Their diet consists of small meaty foods, including mysis shrimp and finely chopped marine foods, which can be offered multiple times a day to match their high energy levels. This hybrid showcases a beautiful blend of colors, often featuring varying shades of purple and blues with black stripes. They are found in the Indian Ocean at depths of up to 30 feet.
