Description
The Bathyphilus Hooded Fairy Wrasse has breathtaking colorations, hardiness and high activity levels, which makes them very desirable in aquariums. This peaceful fish can be added to just about any aquariums since they are not known to eat or damage corals. Hooded wrasses can mix well with others as long as they are females (most at medium size or smaller will be) and introduced at the same time to the aquarium. Males can be territorial especially added with other males. They have a small adult size of 4” which is another reason why they are so desirable. This deep-water species is predominately yellow and red with hints of black on their fins which is why they are called Flame Fairies, males are even more vibrant. The Hooded Wrasse is found in the Western Pacific within coral reefs up to 200 meters deep.
